Hi lash! With regard to your inquiry, Belo and Calayan are both fine surgeons…They have their own expertise. Some says Calayan is a better cosmetic surgeon while Belo is an excellent Dermatologist. But you will never know unless you try. As of the moment I would recommend Calayan for your Rhinoplasty. Hi there Kim! according to some reviews both Belo and Calayan are good in removing scars. However, technology-wise, i think Belo has an edge. For your Acne, dermatologists usually would prescribe certain medications…It can be oral, topical or injections. However, the use of these medications would really depend upon their assessment. the severity of your acne would greatly affect the dosage of meds to be used. Also, they can use laser therapy for acne.

1. Belo’s FRAXEL
This makes use of Erbium Glass Laser to deeply penetrate the skin to cause microscopic wounding to resurface the skin. This treatment is highly recommended for patients with depressed Acne scars. A Local cream anesthetic (EMLA) is applied for about an hour before the treatment. Some patients may opt to do it under sedation. Patients who receive Fraxel Laser Treatment can expect speedy healing and minimal to no downtime. There is a sensation of heat similar to that of a sunburn and the treated area will be red and swollen which may last for several hours to 2-3 days. The use of ice packs may relieve the discomfort. Bronzing of the area treated may be noted. Flakiness and peeling may take place 5-7 days after treatment. Patients can apply make-up immediately after treatment and return to routine activities. There is limited, if any, risk of infection or scarring.
Fraxel produces great results. After the first treatment, you will begin to feel the difference in your skin, as it gradually becomes softer, smoother, tighter and fresher. Fraxel successfully minimizes fine lines and wrinkles as well as an ablative laser peel and evens out skin discolorations caused by the sun damage or aging.
Multiple sessions are advised for maximized results and most people begin to notice positive changes in their skin within about a week and the improvements continue for about six months. The treatment may be done every 1-4 weeks, depending on the assessment of the doctor, for 5-6 sessions. Treatment takes 20 minutes for Fraxel alone but will take 30 minutes to 1 hour for the whole procedure. It’s only available in their clinics in Tomas Morato, Greenhills, Medical Plaza, Alabang and Cebu.

2. Belo IPL or INTENSE PULSE LIGHT
It mainly targets are red and brown marks. For scars or keloid marks it is accompanied with Kenacort injection.
It requires multiple sessions to achieve the maximum result. It can be done every 2-4 weeks and is only available in our clinics in Trinoma, Podium, Mega Atrium, Rustans and Cebu.

3. Belo MULTI CLEAR
It is a non-invasive procedure recommended for white scars. The wavelengths of light emitted by the Multi-clear trigger special skin cells (Melanocytes) to produce new melanin in the non-pigmented white skin and darken the existing non-colored melanin to match normal skin color. It requires multiple sessions to achieve the maximum result. It usually takes 3-6 sessions and it can be done every 1-2 weeks. This treatment is only available in our clinic in Greenbelt Makati, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only.

4. Belo V BEAM
The V-Beam Laser System is a mainstay vascular laser manufactured by Candela. This laser system has been utilized for safe and effective removal of port wine stain, birthmarks with a low incidence of scarring and permanent pigment change. Its unique Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) sprays cryogen onto the epidermis prior to each laser pulse, quickly and effectively cooling and protecting of the epidermis. V-Beam uses an intense light of the 595mm wavelength, delivered in long pulses. It works by targeting the hemoglobin found in blood vessels causing coagulation and subsequent obliteration of the vascular lesion. Usually used for Scars with red raised scars that are often caused by surgery, trauma, or burns (hypertrophic scars and keloids). Multiple sessions are required and spaced 4 – 6 weeks apart. The area treated will look red and swollen and even raised. There are occasions when a bruised appearance or purpura is noted. These may last for a few days. There is a slight tingling and burning sensation on the treatment site lasting several minutes to a few hours. Treatment lasts for 30 minutes and is only available in Belo Medical Group clinic in Medical Plaza.

Hi Inna! In which clinic did you undergo the graft? Was it a bone or a cartilage graft? Actually months is not enough to see perfect results…Pero usually magaling na talaga, wala na maga masyado..However, Years are counted to let a Rhinoplasty perfectly healed. And as time passes, results are likewise becoming evident. So patience lang talaga…I understand na mejo anxious ka, pero let it heal muna..give it a year or two…Also, sa non-surgical rhinoplasty ang marerecommend ko talaga sa totoo lang is yung kay Belo…I’m getting positive feedback from them kasi…Tsaka yung sa Newlife plastic surgery…Okay din dun!

Hi Lorna! how are you? with regard to your question…I would say that a non surgical facelift has its own advantages. First, no cutting is involve and thus the procedure is safer compared to the traditional one. Second, no visible scars after the procedure…Lastly, no downtime whatsoever- you can even go back to work after your non surgical facelift. However you need to keep in mind that this procedure does not deliver the same result as the traditional face lift. Also, the results are dependent on the patient’s skin color, texture and integrity…It is usually done for younger patients with visible wrinkles and loose skin. Hi Aila..Belo Medical Group’s regular consultation fee is P560 and P1120 for exclusive consultation with Dr. Belo…The minimum price for Belo’s Breast Augmentation is Php 154,72…You need to book a consultation with Belo to make sure that you are a good candidate for the surgery. Calayan’s breast augmentation would cost you about 100,000 to 150,000 ( pero Im not sure)…Also, the price may vary depending on the implants being used that’s why a consultation is really recommended for a proper advice.
